Sisters

A sister is someone to fight with, share a few secrets with.  Love, hate, dance with, play games with.  Make memories with.  Or drive mom crazy. A sister is someone to play dress up with.  A sister is someone you have for life.
Secrets you only share with your sister.
Never to leave.  So I will follow in your footsteps because you won't lead me in the wrong direction.
One would wonder what a teenage girl really thinks.

They were such good sports.  I will have to admit I have more that three pics of them.  I tend to get a bit carried away when taking pictures.  That only makes it hard on me.  Trying to decide on which proof to publish & what not.  Like I have said, I love the story they tell. Thanks you two & mom for allowing me the opportunity to capture some of these moments.

So the story begins...

Well, here goes.  As I have stated, I have always enjoyed pictures much more that home movies.  You can hang a picture on the wall, place it on a table or anywhere & remember when it was taken, what the event was, moments from the day.  A movie, you put up & forget you have them.  I mean how many times do you sit down & watch a family movie from Christmas of 1989?  If your life is like mine, NEVER!  You barley have enough time to get the negative news for the day.  You can walk by a picture & remember when.  I started just randomly photographing my boys.  Snap shots here & there & have favorites throughout our home.  They tell me a story & I remember when.  None of them will make it to this blog because they were in the day before digital & I really don't want to go to the trouble to scan, copy, etc.  I know I'm lazy!  But here are a few of my favorites as of last few years.
All of the images are raw with no editing.
I am not a big fan of telling my clients to sit down, be still & smile.  I like to get them in action.  That is where the story is.  That is how the story is told.  I want my photos to be real.  No pretending. That is how I really like to live life.  Real, no pretending.  It is what it is.  Now, these are three of the four males in my life.  There is one more.
He is more spoilt that any of the other three ever thought about being.  So I am the only female in the house.  But my life would be so boring without them.  They are all my life.  To be continued.....

We love our memaw!

Well, heaven only knows what you will find on here.  But I thought I would share this.  I think it is priceless.  This is my sweet mama holding the newest member of our family.  This is her fourth great grandchild.  (I haven't got to meet him yet :( )   She is sitting on my sisters patio.  I just can't help but wonder what she was really thinking about.  His mama said he had cried all morning & she takes him over to my sister's,  memaw takes him & he stops.  Yep she has always had a way with those grandbabies.  Our family has been & is so blessed to have had a mama & daddy who loved us enough to teach us the ways of the Lord.  And now that we are old, lol, we haven't departed from them.  Memaw, you are the best & we all love ya bunches!!!

In the beginning

For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed taking pictures.  They tell a story.  I have never liked being photographed though.  I am more comfortable behind the lens rather than in front of it.  I have gotten more joy out of  taking pictures of my boys. However, you may not see many of them on here.  We'll see.
So how did this blog come about? I'm still not just real sure.  But anyway, here we are.
I will say I wouldn't be doing any of this without the ecouragement & faith that my husband has in me.  So, be on the look out for pictures of our project & pictures of clients.  I'm getting excited & will post again soon.
